Throughout the year, The Knot Pro has held workshops around the country for event planners, designers and photographers eager to get a better insight on the happenings in the wedding industry. 

The Make Your Life Sweeter® team and I had the amazing opportunity to attend this month's Knot Pro workshop in the beautiful state of Maryland. 

We arrived in the early afternoon to set up for the day's festivities. As we entered the elegant Westin hotel located in downtown Annapolis, we were greeted by warm welcomes and cheerful company.

We arrived just in time for lunch and were blown away by the chic and sophisticated design of the workshop. From the flowers to the silverware, everything was put into place to make this day perfect for all that were attending. 

After lunch, my team and I began to set up our first sweet treat of the day! Guests were welcomed to their afternoon break with a Sugaire® Organic Cotton Candy Rose Gold Infusion Bar. Everyone loved a little break in between the workshop to enjoy such a decadent (and Instagram worthy) treat!

As everyone made their way back into the conference room, my team and I packed up and headed to the ballroom to set up for our final soiree. 

When the workshop commenced, guests were led to the far side of the hotel for cocktails and conversations! The Make Your Life Sweeter® team was in attendance with a Sugaire® Organic Cotton Candy Affogato Bar and  HotPoppin® Gourmet Popcorn served in exquisite martini glasses. 

The Make Your Life Sweeter® team and I had such an amazing time at the Knot Pro Workshop and I am so beyond grateful to have such an amazing partnership with the wonderful people over at The Knot! I can't wait to see what these next couple of months hold in store for us!

"For more than 10 years, Parkinson Voice Project® has specialized in restoring the voices of those with Parkinson’s disease. We treat patients in our clinic, conduct research, and train speech-language pathologists in our unique therapy programs." 

Parkinson's Voice Project® is a nonprofit located in Richardson, Texas. Their mission is to help and preserve the voices of each and every individual that suffers from Parkinson's disease. Through intensive speech therapy, research, support and community awareness; Parkinson's Voice Project hopes to one day collaborate  with other like-minded and compassionate Speech Pathologists to help others around the world.

Nonprofit's are near and dear to my heart as I have a nonprofit myself. Random Acts of Sweetness® was created with the aim of celebrating and giving back to individuals who spread sweetness without expecting anything back in return. I have recently returned from a trip to India where I visited neighboring villages, orphanages and schools. I always try to give back whenever and wherever I can.

So when the Make Your Life Sweeter® team was asked by the Parkinson's Foundation to help Make Life a Little Sweeter for their fellow guests; we were thrilled to be able to give back to a fellow Nonprofit. 

My team and I set up a SUGAIRE® Organic Cotton Candy Infusion Bar with Piña Colada cotton candy and sparkling water; as well as a HotPoppin® Gourmet Popcorn Bar with your choice of Margarita, Better Than Chicago or Salted Pecan Praline Crunch popcorn.

As guests flooded in, they couldn't get enough of our gourmet popcorn and SWEET drinks! It also helped that we had a special VIP employee going around. My son, Zain Tadia helped hand out HotPoppin® Gourmet Popcorn to eagerly awaiting people (I think they loved him more than our popcorn!)

It was such a sweet evening and I was so honored to of been able to Make Life a Little Sweeter for everyone at the Parkinson's Voice Project®!

Texas Motor Speedway is a speedway located in Fort Worth that hosts IndyCar, Xfinity, and Monster Energy Nascar Cup races; as well as many other events.

This past April, We had the opportunity to attend Texas Motor Speedways Open House and were blown away by the exquisite facility that houses thousands of race goers almost every weekend.

The open house started with a brunch in the ballroom to all that joined in the festivities of the day. The food served was amazing; they had mini omelets and eggs benedict with yogurt parfaits, everything was so scrumptious!

After breakfast, we were all ushered to charter bus' to escort us to the Texas Motor Speedway Suites located at the very top of the racetracks seating area. We were all greeted with sushi and lemonade as we all took in the exquisite views of the track.

Throughout the tour, the Make Your Life Sweeter team were able to see all of the most influential spots of the Texas Motor Speedway Racetrack and were in awe of how beautiful the place was. Every place we were taken, we were welcomed with a different environment of fun things. One Suite had candy lined all along the walls for us to take, one rooftop bar had a DJ playing live and the tent area even had a photo-booth! 

The last stop on the tour was the garage near the track. Race-cars lined a aisle through the facility and a band played hit songs throughout the day. As you walked in, you were greeted with a man on stilts and reflective gear. To your right you got to choose between all different kinds of flamboyant donuts and banana pudding (which, by the way, was made right in front of you). In the center of it all was a live spin of Fluffpop® Artisanal Mini Cotton Candy.

As guests flooded in, they were amazed of how something could taste so good, yet be so low on calorie intake. Everyone loved the sweet treat and I couldn't have been happier with the end results.

Towards the end of the open house, Texas Motor Speedway held a raffle for all of the guests. Thanks to my amazing client, I had the chance to participate in the raffle and was, in fact one of the winners!

I had a once in a lifetime experience to ride along in an actual race-car with an experienced driver and had an amazing time! I am so incredibly thankful to be able to experience things like this and am so gracious to all of the people in my life that allow me to pursue these unbelievable and wonderful things.

Over the past few months, the Make Your Life Sweeter® team has had the opportunity to work closely with the California- based chain of salons known as Drybar. I have come to know this team of amazing people personally and was so thankful to work hand and hand with them at the annual Ulta Convention in Houston, Texas.

Ulta Beauty is a nationwide cosmetic store that sells everything from eyeshadow pallets to curling irons. Their stores carry the most popular makeup and haircare brands in the country, so naturally, when we had the opportunity this last April to attend their convention, we couldn't turn it down.

My team and I drove to Houston the day before to meet the Drybar team and get a feel for the convention center. I'm so glad we had the chance to see everything the day before because it was like magic the next day. Chandeliers were hanging from the ceiling, carpet lined the aisles (which was not there 12 hours earlier) and booths as far as the eye could see were set up, each a different brand of makeup or hair care.

My favorite booth had to in fact be Drybar's. They had granite countertops set up for their hair table, yellow chandeliers made out of their signature hairdryers and they even had a hair DJ behind the booth spinning tracks the whole day. But my all time favorite part of the booth had to of been the SUGAIRE® Organic cotton Candy Martini with sparkling water!

Situated on either side, were SUGAIRE® Texture Takeover booths to celebrate the launch of Drybar's newest products. As General managers from all Ulta stores across the country started flooding in, they couldn't help but get excited for this sweet treat!

Throughout the day, I had the opportunity to walk around and see all the different booths that were on display. From dancing cowboys to an underwater paradise, each one was unique in its own way. 

The Make Your Life Sweeter® team had the best time at the Ulta Convention! We made friends and memories that will stay with us for a long while. I'm so thankful to of had the opportunity to attend and am so gracious to the wonderful Drybar team for inviting us to go!
