If you are a fan of luxury cars and sweet treats, you might have seen the latest commercial from Aston Martin, featuring me and my pop-up shop at the Dallas Galleria Mall. The commercial, titled “Drive What Drives You”, is a short film that showcases the versatility and performance of the Aston Martin DBX, as well as my creativity and passion for making people happy with my sweet creations.
The commercial features me driving an Aston Martin DBX to the Dallas Galleria Mall, where I set up my pop-up shop called The Sweet Boutique. The pop-up shop is a colorful and whimsical display of my sweet treat stations, where customers can enjoy a variety of flavors and toppings. The commercial also shows me interacting with customers and sharing my story of how I started my business.
The commercial was created by Aston Martin to highlight the Aston Martin DBX, a luxury SUV that combines style and power. The Aston Martin DBX is the first SUV in the Aston Martin lineup, with a 4.0-liter V8 engine that delivers 542 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. The car also features a sleek design, a leather interior, and a touch-screen infotainment system. The car can go from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 181 mph.
The piece was also created to celebrate the partnership between Aston Martin and Make Your Life Sweeter, two brands that share a vision of excellence and innovation. The partnership was initiated by Avondale’s Aston Martin team, who approached me after seeing my pop-up shop at an event. They were impressed by my entrepreneurial creativity and thought I would be a perfect fit for their brand. They proposed the idea of creating a commercial that would showcase both brands and their values.
The commercial was filmed in December 2022 at the Dallas Galleria Mall, with the help of a videographer, Richard Kelly (https://www.richardkellystudios.com/), the Avondale Dealerships Aston Martin Marketing team, the Galleria Dallas Management Team and the Make Your Life Sweeter team. The commercial was released in August 2021 on various platforms, such as YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The commercial has received positive feedback from viewers, who praised the quality of the production, the message of the story, and the collaboration between Avondale, Aston Martin and Make Your Life Sweeter.
The commercial is not only a promotion for Aston Martin and Make Your Life Sweeter, but also an inspiration for anyone who has a dream and wants to pursue it. As I say in the commercial: “Drive what drives you. Whether it’s a car or a passion, don’t let anything stop you from achieving your goals.”
