They say everything’s bigger in Texas, especially the parties. Since its inaugural year in 1974, The Cattle Baron’s Ball has been raising money for the American Cancer Society. This SWEET event has raised over 68 million dollars and continues to be the largest single-night fundraiser in the country! The Cattle Baron’s Ball has been in shows like “Dallas” and has hosted some of the greatest country music artists of all time. Gilley’s Dallas opened their doors in 2003, and since then has hosted the renowned Cattle Baron’s Ball every year.

This year’s theme was “Shooting for the Stars” and boy, did it live up to its name! Tents, music and the entire Gilley’s venue lit up the night.

Three rooms and a tent were dedicated strictly to food and drinks. The smell of barbecue filled the hallways and rooms and country music was playing all around. Our HotPoppin® Gourmet popcorn bar was set up in the dessert room where we shared space with an ice cream cart and saddle seats for mingling.

Live auctions with prizes such as poker games with past and present Dallas Cowboys, autographed photos, vacation packages and meet-and-greets with Brooks and Dunn raised over $100,000 this year.

Each year, Cattle Barons Ball brings in some of the hottest country legends. This year we got treated to not one, not two, but three great performers. Pat Green performed in the VIP stage and then everyone moved to the main stage to see Brooks and Dunn perform. I am not too familiar with country music, but they were amazing performers who knew how to liven up a crowd! The energy in the main stage tent was electrifying. Everyone was singing and dancing the night away.

This event was so, so amazing and I can’t thank The Cattle Baron Ball team enough for bringing us back for another year of fun!

On September 15th, 1917, Forbes magazine was born, which means, 2017 marked the centennial year of this phenomenal magazine that transformed business journalism! When I received the first phone call from the Forbes team I was in shock! It has always been a dream of mine to gain Forbes as a client and now I was getting the chance to attend the FORBES @ 100 celebratory party! A.K.A the biggest party of the year in New York City!!  I could not believe it!

This exclusive soiree was hosted at the ever elegant Pier 66 and had the most epic guest list. Business people of all industries were in attendance, from talk show and TV Host Dr. Oz to Chobani Yogurt founder, Hamdi Ulukaya to one of the greatest businessman of all time, Warren Buffett.

Throughout the night, Champagne was infused, Fluffpop’s were spun and friendships were made. I had the pleasure of meeting some of the most influential business women and men. many of whom unknowingly helped me get to where I am now.

At around 9pm, host Warren Buffett made his way to the stage. He introduced the one and only, STEVIE WONDER!!! EEK! The crowd went nuts as Stevie took the stage. He graced us by singing some of his greatest hits like “My Cherie Amour” and “Superstition”, but we were in for a treat when Warren Buffet went on stage and sang a duet with Stevie.

At the end of the night, everyone left with a pint of Sugaire, including Stevie Wonder, who’s new favorite cotton candy is Banana Cream Pie Sugaire!

As if things could get any better, to top the night off, the Forbes social media team approached me for their Instagram photo of the night.  Let me clarify... they were asking ME to be their ONLY post that night; it would be the photo that they use to capture the entire essence of the night! What an honor! I think it turned out pretty SWEET!

Before leaving the party of the century, I made sure to take a picture on the Forbes @ 100 red carpet. This opportunity was unlike any other. Being surrounded by all of the most influential women and men was inspiring, to say the least. Thanks to our client, BNY Mellon for giving us an unforgettable night!!
