Here at Make Your Life Sweeter®, we are working to support the black community. ...and here’s one SWEET way that you can get involved. 100% of proceeds from our inclusive #BLM specialty gifts will be donated to black-led & black-founded local and national organizations.

Since 2011, our founder and CEO, Yasmeen Tadia, has strived to make an impact on the lives of others through a number of charitable initiatives and her non-profit, Random Acts of Sweetness®. 

“As a woman of color who is a small business owner myself, I believe it is our responsibility to step up and provide support to Black small businesses, along with organizations across the country working toward greater equality,” said Tadia. “ Make Your Life Sweeter® has always had its hand in philanthropic endeavors through our non-profit, but there is so much to be done right now. We want to use this collection to help amplify the #BLM movement and implement change in our company and our community. This is just the beginning.”

Featured in the Black Lives Matter Collection is up and coming artist Nicole Updegraff. Nicole Updegraff resides in Hawaii with her husband and children. Her mission is to use illustration to amplify the traditionally underrepresented in a way that makes them feel beautiful, empowered and SEEN. Updegraff will receive 50% off all sales of custom designs for Make Your Life Sweeter®.

Nicole Updergraff’s collaboration with Make Your Life Sweeter® includes custom boxes adorned with a powerful illustration, of Updegraff's own design, to communicate the importance of this movement. It comes with a variety of treats!

In addition, her children’s book, I LOVE my Cotton Candy Hair,  will be sold with a custom Sugaire pint to match. The book is "a story about loving yourself just the way you are." When asked to speak on the collaboration, Updegraff explained, “Using my art to put a little good into the world, to impact people in a meaningful way, has always been my 'why.’ I wanted to use this opportunity to illustrate the SOLIDARITY, POWER and BEAUTY of this movement.”

She continued, “This collaboration with Make Your Life Sweeter® will not only amplify impact in terms of reach, which is meaningful to me as an artist, but it will contribute to the movement in a tangible way by raising money for organizations on the front lines of this fight, which is meaningful to me as a Black woman. I'm so proud to be a part of it.”
